Liddle Zoe Underfoot

Hihi! My name is Liddle Zoë Underfoot, but you can call me Zoë for short. Aren't I just the cutest little thing? I'd like to tell you about myself and how I came to find my onetroohome.

I was born sometime in May of the year 2000, and had three siblings. I don't remember them much about them now though. I used to miss them, but now I have two brothers and sisters to torment, which makes me very happy!

One day it was pouring rain, and my mother took my siblings and under a big truck to stay dry. It rained all day and night and into the next day. I guess I must have fallen asleep, and when I woke up, I was all alone under the truck, and I was very very afraid. I had no food and it was cold, and worst of all, my mother and siblings were gone! They just up and left me all alone to fend for myself. Little did I know, but someone had seen me huddling under that truck.

By the second day of rain, I was very hungry and very cold. Luckily for me, a nice postman saw me and coaxed me to come out from under the truck. He picked me up and wrapped me up in his coat, and put me in the truck he was driving. He brought me to a restaurant, where there was a nice waitress who loved cats. She took me into the back room and fixed a little box with towels in it for me, and gave me some milk. I couldn't drink the milk on my own (after all, I was only four weeks old), so she put some on the end of her finger and fed me that way. All of a sudden, I got very tired and decided to have a little nap.

A little while later, I sensed someone standing over me, and opening my eyes, I looked up and saw the nice waitress and another lady looking down at me. The other lady had tears in her eyes as they talked, and when the waitress picked me up and handed me to the leaky-eyed lady, her eyes started leaking even more, and I was getting wet! They talked for a few minutes, and the next thing I knew, there was a man standing over me too. The lady with the leaky eyes said something and handed me to him. He held me close and stroked my head ever so gently, and I thought to myself - boy, I could really get used to this. The man put me back in the box and I tried to get to the other side where I could take another little nap, but I couldn't stand on my back legs very well.

The next thing I knew, I was an office where there were other cats and one big d*g. I thought it was going to eat me! I was taken into a little room, and poked and prodded and had nasty things stuck in me; things no kitty this young should have to endure. The man doing the poking and prodding (called a vet), told the nice man and lady that I was healthy and probably around four weeks old. He also told them I was undernourished and small for my approximate age. I weighed under a pound.

The nice man and lady took me to their home, where I met my two brothers and two sisters. My brothers names are Oz and Voodoo, and my sisters are named Kissa and Willow. And guess what! They were all rescued just like me! They didn't like me at first, but then my sister Willow decided I wasn't that bad and took me under her wing. She was just like my mother, except she didn't feed me, the nice lady did. It sure was nice to have somekitty on my side in my onetruehome. It took awhile, but eventually my brothers and other sister learned to love me, and now we're one big happy family!

I am now four months old and the terror of the household (or so mom says). I started breathing funny one day and mom took me to the vet, and he told her that I have something called Feline Asthma. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I do know that it makes me breathe funny sometmes, and that I have to take yucky pills twice a day, but you know what? They're helping me.

And look! I'm a member of the S.A.S.S.Y. Club!
